My husband and I were both lucky enough to have this whole weekend off together! This doesn't happen very often so I am a very happy girl :). We spent the majority of our weekend with my mother's family.
To start it off, on friday night we went over to my parents house to have dinner with them and my grandparents. After dinner we all got much needed hair cuts. I love that my mom cuts hair so we don't have to pay some one. Well at least that is what I thought. My grandparents went first, then I got highlights While I sat around with foil on my head Ty got his hair cut. When my mom started on me again she said "When we are done with your hair, you get to do my hair!" I should have expected this. I would be glad to re-pay the favor and color my mom's hair for her if I did not have to hear, "Your doing it wrong," "Don't get color on my forehead," "Your getting it everywhere," and so on, the whole time. My dad can and will back me up on this one. Fortunatly, we didn't get finished with my hair until pretty late so we didn't have time to get hers done. I lucked out this time.
On saturday, we got the enitire house clean and took the dogs for a walk, before heading out to celebrate my aunt and brother's birthdays at Macaroni Grill. The plan was to have my parents pick us up at our house at 4:00. In 'Holst Time' that means about 4:15, if not later. At 4:10 I texted my mom to see where they were and she responded "Meet us at Gregs house at 4:30." So we drove over to my Uncle Gregs house. While we were all waiting for my parents to get there, my other uncle came down stairs, and the first words out of his mouth were "Holy Crap your huge!" He was, of course, talking about my belly. I am used to these kinds of comments from my family so no harm done. I know he means well :). My parents showed up at 4:30 'Holst Time' (a.k.a. 4:45). We all headed out and had a wonderful dinner then came back to play games and watch a movie. Overall it was a great day.
It is now Sunday and I am still in my pj's at 11:00. We are having dinner at my parents house again and I am sure I will get suckered into doing my mom's hair tonight. There is no way out this time.
My poor husband has had to spend the enitire weekend with my crazy family. He has kept a smile on his face the whole time and that is why I love him. When my husband first met my family I warned him that they are a crazy bunch, but every one says that about their families, right? After spending a few days with them my husband said to me "You're right, they really are crazier than most families." Little does he know, he is acting more and more like them everyday.
If you know my family, you know that they are not afraid to say what is on their mind and they don't really care what others think of them. If you ever do something stupid, you will never live it down. When any one new comes around they get to hear all of the embarrasing stuff that goes on, whether they want to or not.
I still get to hear about the time when I was 3 years old, I flushed my underwear down the toilet at my grandparents house and clogged the drain.
I love my family and wouldn't change them for anything in the world. They are not perfect, but they will be the first ones to tell you that they are definatly not even close to perfect. They will also be the first ones to tell you that YOU'RE not perfect either.

A little introduction..
My name is Alexandra, but my mom is the only one that ever calls me that. Every one else knows me as Alex.I have never had a blog before, nor have I ever wanted one. It was only a couple weeks ago that the thought kept crossing my mind to start a blog. This thought was like that little fly that keeps flying around your ears and just won't go away. So here I am today, sitting on the couch, finally making that pestering fly get of my case.
In the last two years I have encountered the most spontaneous, crazy, and wonderful events of my life. Most people spread out these significant times in their life during the course of five or even ten years.
To start it off I graduated high school in 09', then three months later, on August 1st, I got married to the best man ever. In march we bought our first house. I am now 19 weeks pregnant and loving every miserable moment of it.
Recently, all of my old friends and neighbors have started their own blogs. I love reading the stories they have to tell about their children, events going on, or just random tid bits of life. I also enjoy reading blogs by people that I have never met, mostly ones about crafty little projects that I save into my "projects I would love to try" folder.
I am so lucky to have the best family and friends any one could ever ask for. I wish that I could spend a lot more time with them but all of the wonderful things that I have listed above cost me and my husband money. So me and my husband both work full time.
I work at a nursing home as a CNA. I absolutly love my job. The people I get to know at work, whether it be co-workers or residents, become like a second family to me.
Often times find myself going through some silly situation and in my head I think "this would be a good story for a blog." A lot of my blogging strories will probably come from things that I go through at work. There is never a dull moment when working with the old crazies!
Other stories will most likely be the result of something embarassing that has happened or has yet to happen because of being pregnant.
I hope eveyone enjoys reading my blog and I will try not to make it too boring. Just remember, I am new at this, so sorry in advance if I don't keep things updated and exciting.
